Our Past

Remember, Shelties do not die,
they gain their wings and learn to fly.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to Heaven and bring you all home again…

Arenray’s Brynlee
Brynn is pictured above at the 2013 ASSA National placing fourth in her futurity class.
We chose to retire Brynn due to life threatening complications from her bark softening that required two major surgeries to open her airway.
Ch Arenray’s Diamonheir
02-24-2006 – 05-06-2016

Ch Sea Haven Chasing Moonbeams, ROM X Ch Sea Haven Diamonique“Shane” was a specialty winner with two specialty majors towards his grand championship.  He was permanently retired at the age of seven due to late onset epilepsy.  I discovered the hard way that epilepsy runs in his family and that his sire’s full litter brother was epileptic from a young age.

Shane was my constant companion and we were rarely apart his entire life.
To say my heart is broken on many levels is an understatement.

Ch Fairwyn Performance Plus

July 23-1988 – June 2002

“Ryan” was my first show dog purchased from Cheryl Yu of Fairwyn Shelties.
Ryan won BOW (4pts) major at the 10/1990 S.S.C.N.C. specialty.
He was owner handled from start to finish.
Ryan was known as my miracle dog after a local vet over dosed him that nearly cost him his life at the age of two.  After having to learn how to walk again he went on to complete his championship.  There wasn’t a dry eye at ring side that day.

I will never forget him.

“Mindi” was the tenth champion for her sire and was the best show dog I have owned to this day as she was all business in the show ring.  She never put a foot wrong and could she move!  We could always count on Mindi to show her heart out.

“Chrissy” retired from the show ring in 2005 and went to live with our good friends the Sbarbaro’s where she lived a fabulous life of wintering in San Diego and spending her summers at Lake Shastina.  Chrissy took it upon herself to keep the wild life off the golf courses.
I was so happy to be able to see Chrissy through out her retirement years.
Chrissy broke all of our hearts when she passed away suddenly in 2011.
